Abandon the Blog?!?!
Due to some limitations on blogger, we don't seem to be getting the interaction I had hoped for here. I think we will be abandoning updates on the blog in favor of a Facebook page. I have started one off of my account here. So, if you already have a Facebook account, then become a fan to continue receiving updates. If not, then go to Facebook.com and create an account. Thanks, and hope this new format will be more useful to everyone.

Back to It!
Here I am! We are back to our studies in Worship this week. Surrendering our Future to the Lord is this week's topic, so come loaded with all your hopes & dreams. Also, if you are interested in participating in this summer's service ministry, please give Melissa Carleton a call to get your opportunity to engage. Thanks, and see ya Sunday!

Absent!
Sorry guys but I will be gone this Sunday! I have a software conference to teach in Chicago on the custom software we have for the bakery. You will have a video lesson though, so please don't skip. Also, Melissa will have some updates on our service project for the summer. Lastly, we have thought about having a night at the Driller's game for our class. Any ideas for a good night? There aren't many left. Let me know if one works well for you!

Posting
After several inquires about posting to this blog... I sat down and figured out what I was doing wrong. You should be able to comment on any post I put up, but to do your own post you will have to send me your email/user name on blogspot. Then I can add you to the posting options. If you are interested please send me your info; I want everyone to be able to contribute. Thanks.
Substitutes
I am having just a bit of trouble locating substitutes for the two weeks I am gone. Any ideas?

Thank you!
Thanks to everyone that was able to attend the fellowship last night! Several people have already stopped me to say how much they enjoyed it. I know that the Adult 2 folks appreciated the opportunity, and let me say thanks to them for treating us to such a good dinner!

Building Bridges-What has God done for you lately?
How do you experience the lost world? Do you intentionally hang out with lost people to show what God has done in your life? Do you search diligently for opportunities to share your part of God's greater story? Are you ever asked: What has God done for you lately & told them? How has that gone?

The Feminine Aspect of God
Everyone seemed to struggle with this Nooma more than most. Having had some time to absorb it now, have you had any additional thoughts of how our paternal tradition toward God has shaped your image of the Divine Nature? Do you believe your interactions with women also have influence on how you see God? Has this discussion widened your view of God's personality/image? Does it help you understand more fully your own image?
Returning to our Lessons this Week...
I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day (maybe even celebrating with a nap)! This week we return to our study of sharing our life mission everyday by studying how we use relationships to produce opportunities-- "As we are going" after all. This will obviously integrate our craft from 2 weeks ago. Missed it? Let me know & I will get you the supplies ASAP. Either way, we will get back to it. If you have missed the last few weeks this is a great time to get back into the study with us...hope to see you there!

Fellowship with Adult 2
Given that we had to postpone the dinner with Adult 2, we now need a new date...Any suggestions? I think we decided Tuesdays worked best. Anyone for the 2nd of June? That looked best for me. Give me your thoughts please...

Craft Lesson this Week!
Due to popular demand the craft lesson from last week has been moved to this week. So, get out your safety scissors and glue sticks! Be thinking too about those people in your life that you experience everyday that may not know your story about Jesus. Hope to see you Sunday!

Starting up Again...
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Our new session begins this week: Sharing your Life Mission Everyday. If you have not been in a while, here is a perfect opportunity to reengage. Many of us struggle between the desire to share our faith and the skill to do it. This spring session will help prepare us not only with the words, but also the discernment to recognize moments of opportunity. Hope to see you soon!

What's for Easter?

Everybody celebrates holidays a bit different...What are you having for Easter Dinner?
We spend so much time with gifts, meals, and (of course, at Easter) clothes, but as the Separated People we should consider something deeper. How are you participating, and teaching your family, about the roller coaster of emotion that Easter week brings to God's people. Passover, Lord's Supper, The Crucifixion, The Sad Sabbath, and Joyful Easter Morning as a complete event keep you constantly in motion emotionally...so much to take in and consider. We can't let this opportunity slip by us this, or any, year:
What are you doing this year to make Christ the center of your Easter?
